I’ve decided to move the picks of the week posts to the sidebar and keep a dedicated box for it. This way you’ll always know what the latest and greatest movies and games are!

The splurge of gaming goodness is coming to a close for the Weekly Releases. It’s a good thing to, because this week’s pick for a game will set you back $169.99! But it’ll be worth every penny.
On the video front we have the Die Hard collection including all 4 Die Hard movies on Blu-Ray! This includes the un-edited version of the fourth movie…yipee-kae-yay!

The busy releases should only last another 2 or 3 weeks, but hopefully the quality of stuff doesn’t stop. There are two standout titles this week.

Top notch graphics, intense battles and the most unique multiplayer FPS experience to date makes this an instant purchase for any shooter fan.

Pixar has been making 3d animated movies for over 10 years now, and they’ve always started each one with a great little short. Now you can have all of them on 1 convenient disc, and in hi-def!

It’s another busy week this week but that doesn’t stop us from choosing the two items you need to own.
The 3rd game in the Guitar Hero franchise hits multiple platforms with a brand new developer (Neversoft) and some new modes including Battle and Online Co-Op. GH3 is also the only way you’ll get a native wireless guitar for the 360.
Family Guy Freakin Party Pack
One of the funniest cartoons on television is now available in a huge box set with ping pong paddles, poker chips and cards and more. All 5 seasons and the movie are included in this package for only $99!

In such a busy week it can be difficult to choose one single game above all others. With titles like Eye of Judgement, Ace Combat 6, and others you’ve got a lot of goodies to choose from.
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction stands out though as possibly one of the first true must own PS3 exclusive titles.
It’s the classic action platform brought back for the next-gen with amazing visual, crazy weapons, and over the top game play. If you purchase one game this week, be sure to snag this.
The movie this week was a pretty simple choice. With all of Stanley Kubrik’s films getting the hidef treatment, Full Metal Jacket stands out after getting a pretty poor showing on DVD. For the longest time the only way you could watch this classic was on a standard frame version. This simply wouldn’t do.
